Having a school bag is important for the semester, but finding one that you enjoy looking at every day is another quest all together. Using a mixture of realism, and abstract shapes. The cool shades of the blue birds contrast beautifully with the mustard background of the canvas bookbag, further being highlighted by other work colors, like the red abstract triangles. Creating this piece was originally a practical decision, and, in truth, I use my blue bird bookbag nearly everyday now. But I have also found that this painting on a mustard bag has turned into my top favorite works I have done. I intend on continuing to design more bags in the future, and as I do, I am sure the next piece will become my new top favorite work.
